Tips when ordering event catering

 

Conference/cocktail event catering. A successful event will always be so partly because of excellent catering choices.

Its important to take the time to really consider your selection based not just on what sounds yummy to you, but what is the item served on and how easy is it to eat during networking or while wearing a bright red lippy? How quickly can it be served? How will it hold up with unexpected delays in your proceedings? Will guests need two hands to eat it (and put their glass down)?

Then there is the minefield of dietaries. It is important to set expectation with guests when collecting information within the ticket purchase.

Did you know there is a major difference between 'preferences' and 'dietary'? Saying yes to all guest requests can put unnecessary pressure on the kitchen, and have a knock on affect for your event. Try rewording your registration for capturing guest requests for allergies or intolerances instead.
